Placed near the beautiful city of Coimbatore, Ooty is one of the frequently visited Hill Station in India. It takes almost 12 hrs from Chennai to go to Ooty. The best way to travel is to take a train from Chennai, go to Coimbatore and then go to Ooty by public transportation. There are a lot of places to stay there and also for sightseeing. The best season to visit Ooty is between May and June. There are quite a lot of places to be visited. Some of them are Botanical Garden, Thread Garden, Tea Factory, Sims Park, Dolphin's Nose, Boating, Toy Train ride and the telescopic view of The Doddabetta Peaks. The most exciting places among the above are toy train ride, Tea factory and Boating. If you are planning to visit Ooty, then it is better to visit these places. There are a lot of interesting products to be bought in Ooty. Chocolates, Planted pot, Instant photos and packets of tea powder are those. To buy these, the best places are the above mentioned places. If you are still planning to buy these in a single place, then Sarkar Palace is the best place to buy these. Eucalyptus oil is also  prominent enough to be bought. The places mentioned above aren't that far. All are inside the radius of about some 20 to 30 kms. And the best of all to watch out is the scenic beauty of the mountains. The main resource here is the income that they get as the ticket fee.
