I've been thinking, what are the other resources available in our country that adds value to the national income. Well, tourism is one of those. I will be talking about the various places to be visited and it's key features, what is special about that place and some of the things available exclusively there. I will also be telling about the places for sightseeing that would really be useful when you visit those places. So, over the next two weeks, I will be talking about various places to be visited in India and how it contributes to the income of our nation. More on Hydro Power Plant Welcome back, in my last post, I have introduced about the hydro power plant, now let us see in depth. To start with, let us know the types of hydro power plants currently working in India. Impoundment Facilities are the most common ones in India. Here the energy is generated by using a reservoir in a dam. Energy is generated when water passes through the turbines. Pumped Storage Facilities,  the name itself defines that it is utilized for energy storage. They have two reservoirs and the water is pumped from the lower to the upper reservoir and thereby energy is stored. The last and foremost methodology is the Run off Facility.  They rely mostly on the speed of flowing water. A part of the water is diverted to the turbines and this is how the energy is generated.
